All Parties Hurriyat Conference chief Syed Ali Geelani Friday expressed his displeasure over the Indian army-sponsored ‘education tour’ of schools girls from Kashmir capital Srinagar. The octogenarian Geelani, told the people who were mourning the death of a local rebel in a gunfight that he hoped that parents and guardians would introspect. “On one hand our young boys die fighting against India and on other hand parents send their girls with Indian army on tours,” the anti-India leader said, while addressing the mourners in Pulwom over phone. He said: “It is shame for those parents who send their daughters on army tours. I hope parents will introspect and realize their mistakes.” Despite a stringent curfew and restrictions, youth in Pulwom Friday took to roads and clashed with government forces after the death of Omais Ahmad Sheikh, a rebel of the Lashkar-e-Toiba, on Thursday.
