In yet another shocking incident of sexual assault a 19-year-old girl was raped in Budgam, Kashmir, with the accused arrested shortly afterwards.
Police Station Khansahib received a written complaint from one person stating that his daughter was raped by Mudasir Ahmed Wani.
Accordingly, a case under relevant sections of law was registered and the investigation was set into motion.

Acting promptly, the police team arrested the accused Khansahib within five hours. He has been shifted to the police station where he remains in custody.
A medical examination of the victim was conducted by a board of doctors at SDH Khansahib, on the basis of the statement of the victim.
“Offences under section 376 of the IPC (rape) and relevant sections has been implied upon the accused,” police said.
“Community members are requested to cooperate with police in curbing social crimes in their neighborhood. They can share information about social crimes with the police. We reassure the community members that our efforts in curbing social crimes shall continue,” police said.
