The Supreme Court is likely to hear pleas challenging the decision to abrogate Article 370 and 35A after the summer vacation scheduled from May 23 to July 11.
On Monday, senior advocate Shekhar Naphde mentioned the matter before a bench headed by Chief Justice NV Ramana stating that it was an urgent matter as delimitation is to be conducted in Jammu Kashmir.

The Chief Justice responded, “It’s a five-judge bench matter. I will have to ask the other judges as some retirements are also due to take place.”
