After a sudden spike in Covid-19 delta variant cases, many countries again closed borders for air travel from India.
While many countries are still adhering to the ban and strict guidelines, some have eased the travel restrictions. Here are the four countries who have recently lifted air travel ban from India.
1) United Kingdom
The UK government recently moved India from its travel red list to amber from August 8. This means travel will be permitted to the British Isles from India. There is also news that will comfort goers as fully vaccinated passengers will no longer be obligated to undergo a 10-day hotel quarantine rule.
2) United States America
U.S.A has also relaxed its travel restrictions from India. The U.S admin moved India from Level 4 to Level 3, but still warning citizens to consider strongly.
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) issued Level 3 Travel Health Notice for India, and stated that, “Your risk of contracting COVID-19 and developing severe symptoms may be lower if you are fully vaccinated with an FDA authorised vaccine. Before planning any international travel, please review the CDC’s specific recommendations for vaccinated and unvaccinated travellers. Reconsider travel to India due to COVID-19. Exercise increased caution due to crime and terrorism.”
3) The United Arab Emirates
The National Emergency and Crisis Management Authority (NCEMA) stated that the United Arab Emirates will be lifting a ban on Indian travellers to the gulf country from August 5.
They have stressed that restrictions on travel will still remain in place, however Indians who have a valid residency permit, and are fully vaccinated (those who have taken both doses of COVID vaccine), won’t be bound by strict restrictions.
4) Spain
Spain has reopened its consular offices, for visa applications from India. The country requires travellers from India to be fully vaccinated.
