West Indies vs Bangladesh: Bangladesh took on West Indies in the first Test match at Vivian Richards Stadium, Antigua and had a nightmare start.

Bangladesh were dismissed for 103 runs in the first innings of the tour-opening Test.

In the process, Bangladesh registered an unwanted record of six batters getting out for ducks — Mahmudul Hasan Joy, Najmul Hossain Shanto, Mominul Haque, Nurul Hasan, Mustafizur Rahman and Khaled Ahmed.

In fact, this was the third time that six and more Bangladeshi batters have failed to open their account during a Test innings. They recorded the same record in the first innings of their previous Test against Sri Lanka last month.

With this Bangladesh became the first Test in the history of the format to register 6 ducks in an innings in back-to-back matches.

Asking Bangladesh to bat first, Kemar Roach and Co. extracted plenty of bounce and seam movement from the pitch, with the pacers sharing all 10 wickets among themselves in the end.

Jayden Seales and Alzarri Joseph finished with three wickets each but it was really Roach who had set the rhythm early on by striking with the second ball of the match. Close on the heels of that, Bangladesh ended up losing six wickets in a dramatic opening session.

At the close of play on Day 1, West Indies were 95/2, trailing the visitors by eight runs.

Brief Scores West Indies vs Bangladesh:

Bangladesh 103 (Shakib 51; Jayden Seales 2-33, Alzarri Joseph 2-33, Roach 2-21, Mayers 2-10)

West Indies 95/2 (Kraigg Brathwaite 42*; Mustafizur Rahman 1-10, Ebadot Hossain 1-18)
