Speaking on the killing of two policemen in Bandipora, National Conference President Dr. Farooq Abdullah said that such incidents take the lid off the normalcy claims of the government.

“Are we happy over the killings of two policemen, It’s a sad story,” the NC chief told reporters in Jammu on the side-lines of party function, as per news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO).

“When policemen aren’t safe, how is an ordinary man safe in Kashmir? Government states, everything is alright and hunky-dory Kashmir is this what they claim.”

Asked how the Government of India can talk to Pakistan when policemen are getting killed in Kashmir by foreign militants as claimed by the police chief of Kashmir, Dr Farooq said: “You have to talk to Pakistan, there is no other way. You can talk to China, why not Pakistan. The Chinese are occupying our territory and making houses on our territory.”

He said why the government of India isn’t allowing debate on Chinese acts in the Parliament. “I don’t know why Centre is allowing us to know what Chinese are doing to our land,” he said
