Police on Monday arrested two persons after a 25-year-old motorcyclist was beaten to death by a blunt object in Budgam district.
Fayaz Ahmed Najar son of Abdul Rashid Najar was attacked when he was travelling on motorcycle at Gurwaith Khansahib area of Budgam district.
News agency KNO quoting sources reported that he was on a bike and an unknown person hit him on his head with some blunt object leaving him critically injured.

He said person was shifted to Sub district hospital Khansahib where doctors referred him to SKIMS Srinagar where he succumbed to his injuries.
Shortly after police sprang into action arresting two suspects related to the gruesome murder.
“Two persons namely Tahir Bashir Khan son of Bashir Ahmed Khan and Hilal Ahmed Lone son of Abdul Ganie Lone, both residents of Kachwari Khansaib, have been arrested in connection with the death of Najar,” a police spokesperson said in a statement.
He said a case (FIR 60/2022) was registered at Police Station Khansahib under section 302 IPC and investigation set into motion.
However police have so far not revealed reason(s) as to why the duo attacked the youth.
