IPL 2022: Check Out The 10 J&K Cricketers Shortlisted For Mega Auction.

10 J&K cricketers have been shortlisted for the upcoming Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 mega players auction.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on Tuesday announced the final list of players who will be up for grabs in the upcoming player’s auction.

The IPL players auction is scheduled to be held on February 12 and 13 in Bengaluru and will now feature 590 players.

After around 1214 cricketers from all over the world registered for the auction, only 590 have found themselves on the auction list on the basis of interest shown by franchisee teams.

From J&K, 10 top cricketers have found their names on the auction list. The franchises have shown their interest selecting players from J&K and they now have a chance to get sold and go on to play in IPL.

List of players from J&K

Left-arm young pacer from Anantnag Mujtaba Yousuf is placed at serial 161, followed by Rasikh Salam serial 242, Parvez Rasool serial 354, Qamran Iqbal serial 367, Fazil Rashid, serial 391, Henan Malik, serial 436, Abid Mushtaq, serial 445, Nasir Lone, serial 446, Auqib Nabi, serial 492 and Vivrant Sharma, serial 545.

Among these only Parvez Rasool has the base price of 50 lakh while all others will enter the auction at 20 lakh.

Mujtaba has been a net bowler with Kolkatta Knight Riders and Royal Challengers Bangalore and stands a real chance of selection in any one of the franchises.

Rasikh Salam before getting banned for age fudging was part of Mumbai Indians winning side.

Parvez Rasool after getting unsold in the previous two to three auctions has once again put his name for auction on the base price of Rs 50 lakhs.

Abid Mushtaq, Auqib Nabi, and Nasir Lone have all been called for trials by various franchisees recently and may be subject of interest from some of the teams.

Qamran Iqbal, Fazil Rashid, Vivrant Sharma, and Henan Malik are other talented players and could be picked by a franchise hoping to make team for years to come.

Last year Abdul Samad and more notably Umran Malik made an impact for Sunrisers Hyderabad, and it should be noted that these were two of the only three players retained by Sunrisers Hyderabad for Rs four crore each.

If more players get picked from J&K into IPL in this mega auction, it will be a major boost to cricket in the region.
