T20 World Cup: Pakistan First Team To Reach Semi Finals After Convincing Namibia Win.

Pakistan became the first team to qualify for the T20 World Cup semi finals after a convincing 45 runs win over Namibia.

Electing to bat first Pakistan survived a decent spell of Namibia bowling and testing conditions with both Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan playing out the powerplay carefully.

Soon afterwards both batsmen took charge, with Babar in particular looking at his flamboyant best. The skipper reached a quick 50 and continued from there on in. Babar scored 70 of 49 balls before perishing looking to accelerate.

It was then time for Rizwan and Mohammad Hafeez to shine as they both cleared the boundary with ease. Hafeez hit five boundaries and Rizwan then arrived on the stage. The wicketkeeper then smashing 4 sixes in the closing stages of the game as Pakistan amassed 131 runs in the last 10 overs, posting a dauting 189/2 in 20 overs.

In response Namibia batted with caution and showed little intent focused on avoiding a thrashing. They showed how to bat carefully against Pakistan bowlers. Hasan Ali and Haris Rauf impressed with their bowling while Shaheen Afridi and Shadab Khan proving to be expensive.

David Wiese remained not out on 43 of 31 balls as Namibia finished with a respectable 144/5 in their 20 overs, while Pakistan maintained their 100% win record in the T20 World Cup.
