Kashmir on High Alert, After Intel Warns of Attacks On Power Projects, Emergency Landing Strip.

Kashmir is on high alert after intelligence reports that the militant group Harkat 313 is planning attacks on hydel power plants of Uri-I and Uri-II as well as the emergency landing strip in Anantnag.

Security has been beefed up around the Uri-I and Uri-II hydro-power projects, which are close to the LoC.

Another alert has been issued saying Hizbul Mujahideen is planning to target religious leaders to create a major law and order situation in the valley.

The alerts come amid a spate of attacks on non-local workers in J&K. This month, 11 people have lost their lives in shootings targeting civilians.
