The clash in Kashmir University and Jamia Milia Islamia University entrance test, scheduled both on 22 June, had left the aspirants of Kashmir Valley at a crossroads.
A group of aggrieved aspirants told a local news agency, Kashmir News Trust (KNT) that Kashmir University and Jamia Milia Islamia in New Delhi have scheduled entrance tests for various postgraduate programs on the same date, creating a situation where the aspirants who wish to appear in both the exams have been left to make a hard choice.

They appealed to KU to delay the exam by one week which will enable them to appear in both exams.
Acting on the issue, the Registrar, Kashmir University, Professor Nisar Ahmed Mir told KNT that they have arrived at a decision to reschedule all the entrance test dates that clash with other Universities.
“We request students to give feedback and mail directly to me or Kashmir University so that all the entrance test dates clashing with other universities will be rescheduled,” he said, adding that KU is for the benefit of students and will always take decisions in their interest. (KNT)
