Protests broke out in Kheora village of Rajouri town after the mysterious death of a surrendered militant and husband of Special Police Officer (SPO).
Reports said family members of a middle-aged man placed the body on district hospital road in Kheora and blocked traffic.
The protesters claimed that the deceased was a surrendered militant whose wife is an SPO in Rajouri and both were living in a police quarter in District Police Lines where he died mysteriously.
They said his body was carried to his native village and handed over to his family without any information about cause of death by police.
