Amid communal disharmony and clashes between Hindus and Muslims two Hindu sisters from Uttarakhand set an example by donating land for the expansion of Eid Gah in Uttarakhand.
Just ahead of Eid ul Fitr, Anita and Saroj donated the land to Eid Gah to fulfil the last wish of their father and in return sought prayers on the occasion of Eid ul Fitr from the Muslim community.

As per news reports, the two have donated more than 2 acres of land for the Eid Gah of Kashipur in Udham Singh Nagar district of Uttarakhand. Anita aged 62-year-old and her 57-year-old sister Saroj have set an example of communal harmony in Kashipur.
Their father, Parlok Sidhare Lal Brijanandan Rastogi died in the year 2003, at the age of 80. His daughters got part of their land and it was not until recently that the daughters learned from family and relatives that their father wanted to give a part of the land to the Eid gah.
The value of this land of as per news reports is more than 2.1 acres is more than Rs 1.5 crore.
