In one of the most sensational transfers of this summer Cristiano Ronaldo is returning to the club he left eleven years ago, with the Portuguese attacker set to join Manchester United after leaving Juventus.
When Ronaldo and his former club Juventus announced that the player was leaving, speculation was rife about where would the 5 time Ballon d’Or winner would land.
Manchester City were though to be initially interested and a deal appeared to be close with the players’ agent thought to be keen for him to move to Etihad Stadium.
This was unthinkable for Manchester United fans. The thought of a club legend joining their arch rivals. Former players interfered and it is said the legendary manager is thought to have a word with Ronaldo and the player eventually deciding to return to Old Trafford a place where he holds immortal status.
For United fans this is a dream come true. Ever since he left the club to join Real Madrid, they have always dreamed of his return and now that is a reality.
