Sources told Greater Kashmir that the army couldn’t evacuate the injured JCO from the encounter site and presumed he was dead.
However, they said, he was later found unconscious at the encounter site and was shifted to Army’s hospital in Drugmulla where he is in a stable state.
The encounter which broke out on Wednesday morning after militants attacked an army base has reportedly ended with the death of three militants and a civilian working with Army’s engineering division.
