A Bangladeshi national from North Kashmir’s Baramulla district was detained by the Indian army for traveling to India without any passport.
Sources told news agency Kashmir News Trust that Army handed over a Bangladeshi national to police after detaining him in border area Uri.

They said that during the investigation, it surfaced that this Bangladeshi citizen had travelled to India and then to Kashmir without any passport.
A police official while confirming the arrest of this foreign national identified him as Rabi-ul-Islam son of Muhammad Saleem.
He said a fake Adhar Card has been recovered from his possession. He has been booked under Foreign Registration Act.
“An FIR vide number 23/2022 under section 14-A of Foreign Registration Act has been registered at police station Uri and further investigation is underway,” the official said. (KNT)
