A civilian was shot dead and a street vendor from Bihar was injured in separate attacks by unknown gunmen in Budgam and Pulwama districts of Kashmir, police confirmed.
Unknown militants barged into the house of Tajamul Mohi-ud-din Dar in Gotpora village of Budgam on Monday evening and fired indiscriminately upon him, a police spokesperson said. In the militant attack, he said, Dar sustained critical gunshot injuries and was immediately shifted to a nearby hospital for the treatment.

“However, doctors declared him dead on arrival,” he said.
In a separate militant attack in Pulwama, the spokesperson said that around 7:45pm, militants fired upon a street vendor Bisujeet Kumar of Bihar. Kumar, he said, received gunshot injuries and was immediately shifted to SMHS Hospital Srinagar in a critical care ambulance where he is being treated.
