Four Srinagar Youth Booked Under UAPA For ‘Anti India’ Slogans During Muharram Procession.

The authorities have booked four youth from Gund Hassi Bhat area in Srinagar outskirts nder the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA) for raising anti-india slogans during a Muharram procession in August 2021.

The youth identified as Rafaqat Ai, Muzaffar Hussain, Mohammed Abbas, Mudassir Ali, all residents of Gund Hassi Bhat area in the Srinagar district of central Kashmir.

the four had initially been arrested in August 2021 after a Muharram procession in Srinagar, however, they were released the same evening.

The families of these youth were later informed that they had been booked under the Unlawful Activities Prevention Act for raising “Anti India Slogans” during the Muharram Procession in Srinagar in August.
