Government looking provide transport for students in rural areas.

The J&K administration has stepped up plans to provide transport facilities to students in rural areas where institutions have inadequate transport or lacking any such facility.

According to a local news agency—KNO, the Ministry of Education (MoE) has said that it will make a provision of transport facility to the students of far-flung areas of Jammu and Kashmir.

The official documents of the Government of India (GoI) read, “Provision for transport facility to be worked out for children belonging to far-flung areas where transport facility is either not available or is not adequately provided as required.

Besides, the Department of School Education and Literacy of GoI said that it launched a National Mission to improve learning outcomes at the elementary level through an Integrated Teacher Training Programme called NISHTHA – National Initiative for School Heads’ and Teachers’ Holistic Advancement on 21 August 2019.

The MoE also said that the National Education Policy (NEP-2020) recommends at least 50 hours of the continuous professional development programme or in-service training for every teacher and school leader
