IPL 2021 will finally come to a grand end as MS Dhoni led Chennai Super Kings will take on  Eoin Morgan’s Kolkata Knight Riders for the top prize.

Chennai Super Kings are one the most successful franchises of IPL and will be hoping to add another title to take them one closer to the record held by Mumbai Indians.

MS Dhoni perhaps on his swansong as CSK captain will be looking to go out with a bang.

Kolkata Knight Riders have reached the final in dramatic fashion and reached playoffs after they fell agonizingly short off in 2019 and 2020.

One hand you have the expertise and calmness of MS Dhoni and Chennai a well versed team when it comes to the big ocassion, while on the other hand Morgan will be eager to redeem himself after criticism of his captaincy as KKR leader.

Two World Cup winning captains go head to head in a clash of the titans.

Head-to-head: CSK have beaten KKR in 16 out of the 24 clashes between the two sides. This includes 5 of their last six meetings, starting from 2019. For KKR however, one of those 16 came in the 2012 final – in Chepauk, no less.
