Result of class 10 exams likely by January first week: Secretary JKBOSE

‘Class 12th, 11th results to be declared by January 3rd week and last week’

In a significant development, the Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education (BOSE) is all set to declare the result of the annual regular-2025 class 10th examination by the first week of January next year.

This will be followed by the declaration of the results of class 12th and 11th class students by the 3rd and last week of January.

In an exclusive conversation with Greater Kashmir, Secretary JKBOSE Ghulam Hassan Sheikh said they are planning to declare result of students from all three classes within January.

“We are hopeful to declare the result of class 10th examination by January first week, followed by declaration of result of class 12th examination after 10 days,” he said.

Sheikh said that the result of class 11th examination will be declared by the end of January.

Secretary JKBOSE said the examination of class 12th students culminated on December 9, while the examination of class 11th students culminated on December 13th, respectively.

“The exam of class 10th students concluded last week in November. After theory exams, the students appear in practical (external) exams, and it takes some days to collect the award sheets of students, particularly the award sheets of vocational subjects, because these subjects have a different setup,” Secretary JKBOSE said.

He said they are hopeful to declare the result on these given dates, as the concerned staff and officers are seriously following the timeline.

“We are on track, as I am personally following the status of the process. The timeline given is being followed properly by all the concerned,” he said.

This year, the annual regular-2025 examination of class 10th to 12th students commenced in November.

As already reported by this newspaper, JKBOSE had announced 15 per cent relaxation for students in class 10th, 11th and 12th annual examinations, in view of the disruptions faced by the students during the academic session.

As per the official figures, 94783 students- 68804 from Kashmir and 25,224 students from winter zone areas of Jammu division, besides 660 students from Kargil and 95 from Leh district, registered for the class 10th JKBOSE examination this year.

Also, the examinations for class 11th and 12th students were scheduled from November 19 to November 8 of 2025, respectively.

Approximately, 81622 students – 654001 from Jammu and 17621 from winter zone areas of Jammu have registered for class 11th examination while 70117 students—56423 from Kashmir and 13694 from winter zone areas of Jammu have registered for class 12th examination.
