MBBS seat selling racket: Police arrests 4 in connection with activities.

J&K Police’s Counter Intelligence Wing has arrested four people in connection with MBBS seat selling racket. They are accused of “procuring of MBBS seats for J&K students in Pakistan. ” And then using the money generated thus for militancy and separatism in Kashmir.’

Director General of Police, Dilbagh Singh said, “four people have been arrested in connection with procuring MBBS seats for students from Jammu and Kashmir in Pakistan via Hurriyat and terror funding.”

Police in statement identified the arrested persons as: “Mohammad Akbar Bhat @ Zaffar Bhat (Chairman Salvation Movement) S/O Ab. Jabbar R/O Usmania Colony Baghi-Mehtab, Srinagar; Fatima Shah W/O Nisar Ahmad Shah R/O Palhalan Pattan A/P 172, Nundreshi Colony near Sham Lal Pump Bemina, Srinagar; Mohammad Abdullah Shah S/O Ghulam Ahmad Shah R/O Kulpora Salkoot Kupwara; Sabzar Ahmad Sheikh S/O Bashir Ahmad Sheikh R/O Nowgam, Shangus Anantnag.

“Moreover two more accused persons against whom there is ample evidence are evading arrest & both of them will be arrested soon,” police said.

Police identified them as: Altaf Ahmad Bhat S/o Abdul Jabar Bhat R/o Shakarpora Bagh-i-Mehtab Srinagar A/P Baheria Town, Karachi, Pakistan (Brother of accused at Serial No. 01); and Manzoor Ahmad Shah S/o Gh. Ahmad Shah R/o Kulpora Salkote Kupwara A/P Gulmohar Colony, Near High Court Rawalpindi, Pakistan (Brother of accused at serial No. 04).
