The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has carried out multiple raids in Kashmir including the residence of human rights activist Parvaiz Imroz in Chadoora.
Raids by the NIA are also going on in five to six locations in South Kashmir.
Sources added that houses of Peoples Democratic Party, National Conference and Jamat-e-Islami activists were raided and searches conducted.
People whose houses were searched include Muhammad Shafi Shah, a private teacher and JeI activist, Shahid Ahmed Shah, a private employee, Riyaz Ahmed Mir, a government employee at Sheep Husbandry Department, Rashid Shah, son of Sabir Shah, Muhammad Shaban Kumar, a PDP activist and President local Auqaf Committee and Muhammad Latif Shah-an NC activist and a carpenter by profession.
Reports added that some arrests have also been made by National Investigation Agency.
