Srinagar’s Bone & Joint Hospital at Barzulla ravaged by fire on March 4 will resume its Out Patient Department (OPD) services from today.
Starting of OPD services in just two to three days after the fire incident at Bone and Joint hospital has come as good news and relief to hundreds of patients.

Medical Superintendent of Bone and Joint hospital, Dr. Mian Suhail told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that administration has decided to resume OPD services from today.
He said that as of now patients can not be admitted but doctors can provide them consultations and diagnostics. “Being an important hospital, it’s function can’t be taken over by other hospital.”
About functioning of emergency operation theatre, he said that it will be made functional in due course of time.
“In due course of time, we will start that also but not immediately,” he said.
Last week, the top floor of one of the buildings of the hospital was completely damaged, including an Operation Theatre and Academic Block in a fire incident, however, all patients, attendants and staff were evacuated safely—(KNO)
