A Police cop in Hassanpora area of South Kashmir’s Anantnag district was shot dead near his house by suspected militants on Saturday afternoon.
The Policeman identified as Ali Mohammed Ganie was shifted to the nearby hospital for treatment. “However, he succumbed to his injuries on the way to the hospital,” an official said.

At GMC Anantnag, the doctor declared him brought dead.
Meanwhile forces have rushed to the spot and launched a search operation in the Hassanpora area to nab the attackers.
