The Power Development Department (PDD) consumers here have alleged that the department, despite failing to serve monthly bills last month, have charged extra amount as late fee from them.
The consumers from Safa Kadal and its adjoining areas, said that they didn’t receive electricity bills for the month of April.
“We got the electricity bills for two months including April and May together. However, the department has charged late fee for not paying the previous month’s bill. How can we pay the amount when we didn’t receive electricity bills,” Faizan Ahmad, one of the consumers from Safa Kadal said.
He appealed that the department must look into the matter and ensure that late fee being charged is waved off—(KNO)
