Amidst rising unemployment in Jammu and Kashmir, over 950 persons from Haryana and Punjab have been given jobs in the region, Janata Dal United President for Jammu and Kashmir has said, while claiming it as total injustice towards the people of Kashmir and the Dogras of Jammu.
While addressing a press conference in Srinagar, Shaheen said that ever since the abrogation of Article 370, his party has been demanding that land rights and jobs of locals of Jammu and Kashmir should be secured but unfortunately, over 950 people from outside Jammu and Kashmir have been appointed in Jammu and Kashmir Bank.
He said these appointments have been made at a time when the unemployment graph of Jammu and Kashmir is rising and there are over 22 lakh people who are jobless.
He alleged that R&B failed to utilize the funds sanctioned for the academization of roads in Kashmir Valley.
“These funds will either go back to New Delhi or will be diverted to Jammu,” he said adding that the approach of administration should always be pro-people. (KNT)
